Speak with Father Jorge six months in advance. That is the notice the Mission asks for, and it is needed before booking a hall, a photographer or a date.

How far in advance
Six months at least. It is not paperwork for its own sake: that time covers the marriage preparation talks and the file, and it leaves room for a missing document without putting the date at risk.
Before booking a hall, a photographer or mariachi, speak with Father Jorge first. A date booked elsewhere does not commit the Mission, and changing it afterwards is expensive.
How to begin
Call the office during office hours — Tuesday and Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM — and ask to speak with Father Jorge. He is also available Wednesday and Thursday, but by appointment arranged over the phone only.
